planning my timetable now...
this is indeed a long overdue post but jus wanna share some pics i took in taiwan wif u guys...
had a pleasant experience, great tour guide and leader, great tour mates, n taiwan is a really great country... lots of delicious food n great buys, esp at e night markets like shihlin and xi men ding... n most of e ppl there r warm n sweet! great services, makin us feel at home. when we were tryin on e clothes, most of them wld start a conversation wif us, instead of stonin over there. n no matter wad happen, they always serve wif a smile~ e food r nice too, different frm wad we had in sg.. n we had so many cups of bubble tea and papaya milk! overall it was fun, except for one incident which i totally snapped... let's jus say i was so furious i walked out of e store and slammed e door behind me... not sth i shd b proud of but i'm definitely not regrettin it...

Day 1
taken frm e plane... beautiful!
jus arrived at kaohsiung airport!
at a kaohsiung night market enjoyin their meatballs, which r actually more like meat dumplings..i know this pic is alil dark... i'm too lazy to edit it.. heh~

Day 2
at Pindong, a place called Maopitou... ("cat-nose-head" frm direct translation)
and it got its name from this rock.. which looks like a cat lyin on its side~ can c?

at Eluanbi, e southest part of taiwan, which is marked by this lighthouse~
Kenting National Park...great view and... HUGE WIND!!!

Day 3
here's Chigu, famous for its salt mountains... salty icecreams r sold here and they're pretty delicious, no matter how weird salty icecreams may sound...
we went to a few other places, n endin our day at a hot spring hotel, soakin in the hot spring! of cos, no pics taken there cos cant bring our cam wif us~ =D
Day 4
this place left e deepest impression on me... a collapsed temple durin their 921 earthquake... i can almost feel wad happened when lookin at it... scary...
one of my most fav places cos it's jus so beautiful n serene, e Sun Moon Lake~
Wen Wu Temple, which prays to Yue Fei, Kong Zi, Guan Yu... i'm totally impressed by how majestic it is~! we sure dun c this in sg!

Day 5
finally at taipei! e great taipei 101~
Rao He street night market! another of their many night markets!! which have delicious food and great buys!
Day 6
e famous queen's head of Yeliu, formed by rock erosion...
a great place to study geo..haha! cos they haf all types of erosion here!!!
...and many beautiful fossils like this one! this is e first time i'm actually seein one...
Day 7
we started e day at yang ming shan~
Fisherman Wharf... one of e shootin place of Meteor Garden.. dun rmb seein it in e show though~ =D
at Martyr's Shrine, which is not seen here... a shrine for those who died for taiwan and there are soldiers guradin it... this is a shift-changin ceremony, in which they haf to do some marchin and a short 'performance' with their gun... and this happens every hr~ look at the track they have formed from all that marching!
Day 8
Home Sweet Home~ jus b4 departure... our tour leader in black, n tour guide in striped-shirt...
and i couldnt resist taking these, no matter how spastic i looked...

watched pirates of the caribbean with yufen, derrick and jj yest, it's such a hilarious movie. johnny depp was great as sparrow.. a great show pavin the way for e 3rd installment... they mentioned singapore in the show and i really wonder y.. anw, do stay behind after e credits! there's a little surprise~ =D

went to giraffe for a drink aft e show.. a marvellous place... i love e design of the place, and e service n ambience were great~ tried my first singapore sling, was abit seh aft my drink but a totally enjoyable experience... drinkin and chattin and enjoyin e night scenary of dhoby gaut... wld love to go back and try out their food... but i almost lost my wallet!!! i've no idea how i left it there...luckily the waitress saw it in time to pass it to us on our way out! or else i'm dead man...

today is e 2nd day my mum went out to work, aft being a housewife for almost 20 yrs...
let's jus say i hasnt been e most supportive n i do show it... i jus dun like e idea of her gg outside to work as an office cleaner when she has e luxury to work at home as a seamstress... and it's a 10hour long job! isnt it v tiring? so i blurted out a selfish excuse "no one to cook dinner for me", hopin she'll reconsider her decision. but wad kind of lame stupid reason is this? i'm 20... of cos i can settle dinner myself right? besides i cant be so selfish, isnt it? i shd b glad she has e courage to go out and work despite being shut out from e society for 20 yrs, afterall my bro n i are now old enuff to takecare of ourselves n she is also pretty bored at home... i know i shd b supportive and i really wanna show her i'm wif her decision so i casually told her "aiya... i haf been wakin up to ur sewin machine sound for 20yrs... i need time to adapt... jus do it if u really wan to..."

so italy would be playin france in the finals on sun... judgin from how e teams played in the semi finals, i'm gg for italy to win the worldcup but owell... the ball is round.. anythin can happen! may zidane work his magic...
i was still watchin after e portugal-france match ended, hoping to catch a glimpse of e postmatch reaction but not much of it was shown..though this is wad i saw on soccernet today...
let's jus say not many ppl wld b feelin sorry for him aft wad he did... esp e english fans.. but hey~ i'm not english...
