as promised, i'm postin this on my blog to spread e NUS spirit jus b4 e midterm break...
So, presentin to u... e Jumper, who... jumps! exclusively found only in nus Science fac, major most likely to b Maths or Applied Maths or Stats.
here's to let those non-nus sci ppl haf a feel of our tuts, mayb more for e maths/stats mods in which tut participation counts (ha, cant b volunteering-ly rite?), how ppl chiong n fight for a place to present their solutions.

Jump!
This is a pretty sad post as u can see from the sepia-styled picture of one of my statistics tutorial.. As u see, the tutorial haven even start, yet the first few rows have already been filled.. Of coz there has to be certain incentives for ppl (esp singaporeans) to behave like this n to complete the picture, i'd be showing a video of the first minute of the tutorial..
As u can see in the clip, the guy in blue (nicknamed jumper) was gettin ready to stand up before the tutor gives the cue to go.. After the cue is given, a few of the first row students started making their way down to receive the markers to present tutorial answers on the board.. (If u had not observed) The jumper forces the guy in green to shift over to qn1 so that he can do qn2.. Apparently qn2 is an easier qn.. This is a repeat of wat happened last week when my fren ambrose was reluctantly pushed to another qn by the unfrenly gestures of the jumper..
Now y do we call him jumper? We expected him to jump to the front from the 3rd row this week since he jumped the previous week.. However, since the first row is all filled, there's no way he could jump down.. So he can only make for the dash to present his desired qn..
To make things worse..
He is still writing when others have get over n done with presentin their solutions despite the relatively lower difficulty of his qn compared to the others.. (Yes, this happened last week too)
To completely fill in the puzzle, the tutorial makes up 5% of the overall grade.. N to show kiasuism at its very best, ppl r doing such things to vie for the 5%.. The thing is around half the class is made up of international students.. (I wonder how kiasuism is stereotypically linked to uniquely singaporean) We highly suspect the jumper is a non-singaporean.. Ironically, this doesnt happen to other tutorials i have been.. I guess we r all pretty desperate for the 5% to pass..
Anyways, no offence to Mr.jumper.. U shd be laughing at your own acts if u happen to see this clip..

had my first test of this sem... again, it sux. well, i'm used to it...
anw, my life's gettin boring-er... n i'm nt even workin yet! cny jus passed by as usual as ever... reunion dinner on eve, then went aunt's hse e next day and there! i've met all my relatives... gave them a yrly update of my life. n they kept askin y i dun get a bf? ha! mayb i shd haf asked them to hunt for me since they seem more anxious than me. no need tall dark handsome mr prince charming, jus someone who i can connect n share great chemistry wif, one who appreciates me for who i am... lol~ can u believe we din even play cards this yr??? it's like 1 of e highlights of cny!!! but apparently, my mum says we used to play jus to keep grandma company. now tt she's gone, everyone's jus no longer interested. so my highlight now is e food.
haf been watchin so many shows recently... i'm jus too bored!

happy chinese new yr to u!

to me, cny has lost its significant, esp aft both of my grandmas passed away a few yrs ago n i've nv been close to my relatives, but still, hope u're enjoyin urs... =)
has been awhile since i've watched england match... haf stopped watchin them when maclaren was in charge cos they're unwatchable/unbearable.. so far e friendly's pretty gd! esp e 2nd half! apparently, none of e press predicted e line-up right, a v fresh line-up i must say! quite surprised to c Joe Cole playin behind rooney but he's playin well so far, one of e better players on e pitch~ nice attackin match! jus hope they'll continue playin attackin football n nt borin football - capello's style. i like e fact tt he chooses players based on their skills n form, n nt jus simply pickin e 11 most popular/well known players n forcin them to play tog. if they continue playin like this, i'll definitely b stayin up late to watch their matches again!
anw, mediacorp's cny countdown shows r pathetic! 5 guys swaying about, lipsyncin, with children performin wushu but seldom caught on cam is NOT a performance! n to think this was e first performance right aft e countdown! -.-"' dunnow bout e rest since this is jus one of e few parts i caught - was watchin e recorded 童梦奇缘 by Andy Lau, and Xiaozhu's concert DVD! but i wun b hopin for much!

sth i've so strongly believed in doesnt seem tt nice n sunny afterall... how did things become this way? she hopes i wun be affected by it... but it's jus impossible since this means e world to me.. i hope to do sth but wad can i do when i shd nt even know bout it in e first place? wad if it gets worse wif my "help"?
it was really nice to get some laughs jus now... genuine laughters, those tt make me tear like crazy - e best medicine. courtesy of yufen, or shd i say n also "Mdms Teos"... (AH ppl shd still rmb her, our home econs teacher who's full of "sss"), i jus cracked up wif her imitation of her "sspreadss thesss butterss ons the breadsss ssshardssss"! it's mean to still joke bout our dear Mdms Teos, esp since we've grad like donkey yrs ago, but i guess old habits die hard... lols
anw, Sweeney Todd was nice! i jus love musicals! can understand y Johnny Depp won Golden Globe wif tt performance, jus frm his eyes n u'll b able to tell how his character is feeling... e show was kinda gross actually but i'm "saw-trained"! so can still tahan it since Saw1, 2, 3, 4 were way grosser...
